Dear Virginia, Wendy and sons,

Just so wonderful to know and love you all.

Rex and Greta always so admired by us all.

I recall visiting you Virginia as a baby in Dubbo and watch in wonder as your devoted parents cared for you so kindly.

Then the West Dubbo butcher's shop the best ham and bacon in Australia - thanks Rex.

The visit to Rex just before his 90th birthday celebration was timely. The nurse beside Rex was the same person that cared for Greta.

Rex and Greta are now united in a very special place together.

Their love for you all was exceptional. Great that you all returned from Melbourne to be close to Rex and Greta when the time was right for you all.

My great admiration for you all as a family.

Forever happy and special memories of Rex and Greta.

I met your Dad when my mother was in Dubbo base about 1905? She was recovering from a stroke, didn't recognise my two daughters or myself, but spoke to your dad when he walked thru the ward to Greta, who was in the same ward. He responded to her as I'm apolizing to this poor man. God bless him. She knew him, from Bre but I didn't know him at this stage, and thought she was making a mistake...iafter this he would seek me out at work, Target, for a chat. He was lovely man who you should all be proud of. My deepest deepest sympathy to you all. Beth Marks. ( if times were different I would have joined you all at his funeral). (my Aunty Irene was his niece)

Condolences to Virginia and Wendy and boys. Rex was a great man, I will never forget working with him. I learned so much from him. Rex allowed me to do the show ham and bacon one year, still won it. RIP Ole Cobber.
